Jake Gulliksen

Product Manager

Jake Gulliksen is co-founder of Levai, where he manages product development, leads operational activities, and assists in the development of the AI engine. 

Holding a PhD in theoretical physics, Jake has a keen interest in cutting-edge technology and is experienced at applying it to meet business objectives. He has developed strategies for trading index futures at a high-frequency trading house and oversaw the development of an application from the ground up to manage risk and assist in speculative trading at a top-tier New Zealand energy company. Most recently, he served as a product manager for AI computer-vision software in the mining and quick-service restaurant industries

Jonathan Huessy

Software engineer

Jonathan Huessy is co-founder of Levai, where he leads the software development activities. 

He holds a Master of Engineering in Robotics & Control from ETH Zurich (Switzerland) and built up an extensive portfolio in the software engineering realm by working on sophisticated algorithms to represent 3D models, integrating machine learning based real-time object detection on computer vision platforms, physical simulations and control systems. He has over a decade of experience in robotic and automation environments. Having worked for a number of companies, including Rocket Lab, he has acquired expertise in software architecture, design, implementation, testing and productization. He loves continuous improvement and is always happy to have a chat about the latest achievements in AI

Hakan Gulliksen

Data Scientist

Hakan Gulliksen is co-founder of Levai, where he leads the data science activities and is a developer of the AI engine

With a master’s qualification in data science and a degree in business, he has extensive experience in data analytics, having worked in the technology, horticulture, agriculture, and market research industries. Hakan’s diverse range of skills has positioned him to lead projects in sentiment analysis, text classification, text analysis, and customer segmentations. Hakan is particularly enthusiastic about the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) in the industry, seeing their ability to extract value from complex and unstructured data.
